The Beginning

Hello!

Welcome to my Prosperity Fellowship blog. I'll be posting the events of the people of Fellowship One here, excluding the Rosadas, because I really didn't want any custom skin tones in my game nor custom blue and pink hair, so it would have been weird having them around all normal when the whole idea of the family was to be colourful. This also means that the Coopriders will have normal skins, but I don't feel that it is as odd as it would be for the Rosadas.

In addition of this being my first blog ever, I'm also Finnish, meaning I don't have English as my mother tongue, but I decided to share this blog in English regardless which of course adds its own challenge. So forgive me if I happen to make mistakes and feel free to correct them too if you notice any, so that I could prevent them in the future. Oh yeah, and don't mind the punctuation which can be quite interesting because in Finnish we use commas a lot. (But of course you can try and correct also the punctuation.)

This post is becoming quite the info sheet but I figured I could just tell all the necessary info about my game and the 'hood all at once.
I got the idea to do a Prosperity Fellowship challenge when I came across ciyrose's Fellowship challenge and started reading it. I already have one prosperity challenge going, which I enjoy very much, and got really excited about the idea to play and blog a neighbourhood that others are also playing and blogging.

I have all the expansion and stuff packs except MG, and my game is in Finnish. So all the familiar townies and NPCs are going to have some weird, Finnish names - at least weird for you who are used to playing the game in English. Hope that doesn't matter and make you lose your interest.
I'll be playing one season at a time, so one round will last for 5 sim days (or years, because one day is like one year for a sim). I'll try to count all the points at the end of each round, but I was thinking about leaving the neighbourhood net worth out, just because I'm that lazy. The names of the babies will be determined by a random name generator because it seems fitting for this challenge already full of randomness.

What else? I don't know, I have put all the families in the neighbourhood, but have yet to decide the order I'm going to play them in. So I guess there will be some more info to come as soon as I get started with the playing. And of course, if you have any questions, feel free to ask them anytime.

Happy simming!

    1. Thank you! (: Nice to notice that there are people playing this challenge also from other countries than just the States and UK. I would probably even understand your game in Swedish, 'cause we have to study Swedish here in Finland.
I'll make sure to take some time to visit each of your sites!

  3. Yay, another Fellowship and one with some different names. I love seeing what all the different names are in the different versions of the games. Good luck with the Fellowship, they can be an handful in the beginning, but super fun! :) You are officially added to my reading list. Now that I know you've been reading mine I better get to finishing up uni. :) BTW, I do have two other blogs that are current at the moment and I've listed them below if you are interested.

    1. In the Finnish version I find some of the names a bit.. Dorky. :D I mean, you don't really see people with such names IRL, so I don't know why they had to put them in the game. Oh well, at least they give a good laugh from time to time.
As for the families, I have noticed that some of them look a bit extreme. Sure I have played more difficult families earlier, but nothing quite as dreadful as for example the Potts, who are actually the last ones on my playing list. Well, I hope I'll manage. :D I have seen you surviving, so I guess it shouldn't be impossible.

And please do, I just finished reading all of your older Fellowship posts, so you kinda have to make some more. (; And I have actually read your other Prosperity Challenge Breeze Point, but it has been quite a while ago, so I guess I should start reading from the beginning when ever I finish reading jungfrun68's Mattsmyra prosperity, which is going to take some time. :D Your Megalahood-blog sounds very interesting and I haven't really heard of anything similar before, so that I look forward to reading!

Guess I have rambled enough for one comment.. :D
